Every piece of shark fishing tackle on this page rides in our trucks to Pensacola Beach, Navarre, Perdido Key, Gulf Shores, and Fort Morgan. We do not stock gear we have not fought a fish on.

The heavy end starts with the Okuma Makaira LBS reels and LBS Custom Shark Rods. Dylan Wier and Blaine Kenny helped Okuma design that line, and it is what our guides hand a client when a bull shark takes a bait 500 yards off the sand.

Below that sits the rest of the kit: 600lb and 800lb mono-and-cable leaders built for kayak deployment, stainless and copper spider weights that hold in current, heavy-duty sand spikes, fighting plates, and de-hookers for a clean release.
