How We Got Here
In 2025, USA Today's 10Best Readers' Choice Awards named Coastal Worldwide the #7 best fishing charter in the entire country. Out of thousands of fishing charters across the United States, we landed in the top ten — and we're the only land-based shark fishing operation on the list.
The award was covered by Yahoo News, who wrote that Coastal Worldwide "made a name for itself in the Panhandle for its all-inclusive shark fishing" and is "now known nationwide."
We didn't get here by running ads or buying placements. USA Today's process works like this: industry experts nominate their favorites, editors curate the list, and then the public votes over a four-week period. Real people voted for us because they fished with us and had the time of their lives.
What Makes Us Different
Every charter on that top 10 list runs boats. We don't. We fish from the beach — sand between your toes, rods in the sand spikes, chairs set up, and kayaks running bait 400 to 800 yards offshore. That's what makes this experience completely unique, and that's why people keep coming back.
We operate along the entire Gulf Coast from Pensacola Beach to Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, Destin, and everywhere in between. Every trip includes all gear, bait, tackle, beach chairs, kayak bait deployment, and hands-on instruction. You show up, we handle everything else.
The Sharks We Catch
Bull sharks, blacktips, hammerheads, spinners, lemons, nurse sharks, and the occasional tiger shark. We've pulled sharks over 10 feet from the sand, including a 1,000-pound great white caught from the beach in January 2026.
