Hammerhead Sharks
Hammerheads cruise the deeper channels and edges around Fort Morgan, following stingray migrations. The pass structure is ideal hammerhead habitat. A 10-foot hammerhead is a real target on the right day.

Blacktip Sharks
Blacktips are everywhere along the Fort Morgan shoreline. Fast, athletic sharks that hunt baitfish schools in packs. They run 3 to 6 feet and provide non-stop action on the right day.

Spinner Sharks
Acrobatic and aggressive. Spinners jump and spin out of the water when hooked. Fort Morgan's clear water and active bait schools attract spinners from spring through fall.

Tiger Sharks
Tiger sharks are the apex predators around Fort Morgan. Deep water access near the pass puts you in prime tiger territory. 8 to 12 feet is common. Fort Morgan's proximity to deep water gives you a better shot than most beaches on the coast.

Lemon Sharks
Fort Morgan sees lemon sharks more consistently than most Alabama beaches. Yellow-brown sharks that cruise the shallow flats during warmer months. 6 to 8 feet is not unusual.
