Hobie 24lb 12V Trolling Motor (Forward/ Reverse 2 Speed)

This is our Universal Mount version that will fit all Fin-style pedal drive systems like Hobie, Vibe Shearwater/Makana, Pelican Catch HD, etc). It will not fit any kayak that utilizes the propeller.

The motor begins as a 24 lb thrust Watersnake trolling motor. It has two speeds and Forward/Reverse. The motor has been shortened so that the entire length is a mere 20 inches. We then install our custom motor mount to the shaft which allows it to mount to the pedal drive well exactly like the foot pedal system does.

The motor mount which attaches the motor to the kayak is 3D printed with ASA filament which is heat and UV resistant. The side pegs which hold it in place are completely solid and extremely durable. They are removable and are held together with four stainless steel bolts. The area which is attached to the shaft of the motor is rubberized, making it have superior grip, so that it does not turn sideways while in use. Another feature of these motor mounts is that they are completely sealed, making it impossible for them to fill with water unlike other previous designs.

Steering with the motor is very easy. Simply insert the motor in the drive well and utilize the rudder as normal. You may also turn the motor manually, but this may rub off the rubberized area, making it not grip as well.

Each of our motors come with a 90-day mechanical warranty against manufacturer defects or failure.
